Creative, energetic and charismatic, Chef Rob Thomas brings a deep-rooted passion for food to every aspect of his culinary creations. Inspired by his Caribbean roots, classical training and world travels, Thomas brings an eclectic fusion of experiences and experimentation to his dishes over his 20 year career in the industry.
Chef Rob hosts a weekly radio show “The Main Ingredient” on Winnipeg’s top-rated talk radio station, 680 CJOB, where he shares his culinary insights, recipes and guest interviews with listeners across the country. In addition, Chef Thomas has shared his passion for food as the resident chef on Breakfast Television Winnipeg, and as a guest chef on City TV morning shows across Canada. His food features also appear in Winnipeg Men & Women, Flavours, Winnipeg Free Press and The Hub.
We are very proud to announce that Chef Rob competed in the Miele Culinary Challenge September 29-31 in Toronto this year and took home the top prize! The challenge included top chef from across Canada, Chef Rob will be showcased at the Toronto Food and Wine show and receive an internship with a celebrity chef. He’s also looking for a space for his new space for his 30″ Miele range. Congratulations Rob!
